Can these be installed on an OUTSIDE walkway to the front door. We live in Boulder CO and we have low temperatures and snow in winter, higher temps in the summer (max 100F)
Yes, you can use these tiles outdoors in areas with a high-temperature fluctuation! Our porcelain tiles, including the Slatestone collection, are frost-resistant, non-porous, and are one of the best materials for outdoor use in both high and low temps.
How thick is this tile?
It is approximately 3/8" thick
does this tile have through color? can the exposed edges be polished?
This tile is a colored body porcelain. I would recommend ordering a sample piece - they are cut from the full-size tiles and will be the best indicator if the exposed edges will work for your project and placement. You can also browse our trim pieces to find a finishing edge as an alternative!
Are different sizes available? I see only the 11.8x47.3 size shown on the website. Is there a gray color of this tile available?
We do offer several sizes of our Slatestone Black tiles! You can find the same material in 23.6x47.3 dimensions, 12.5x25 dimensions, as well as a mosaic option. We also have a Slatestone Pearl option which is lighter and closer to beige/gray. You can order samples of either color option to see how the colors work in your space! Please note that samples are 4"x5" pieces cut from these tiles in order to preview the material and colors, but full-size pieces may have some color variation due to the design.
