Can this be applied with a thin set mortar over painted drywall
Yes! Glass adhesive is actually a great option for shell tiles. We recommend Laticrete glass adhesive as well as their unsanded grout to fill in any gaps between the sheets or minor spaces between pieces.
Is this tile approved for floors? And if so what is the installation method recommended for floors
This Mother of Pearl tile can be used for residential low-traffic floors (excluding shower floors). We recommend using Laticrete 254 Platinum - Ultimate One-Step Thin-Set Mortar to install. Minimal grout is needed to fill in spaces between the tile sheets. We recommend Laticrete Non-Sanded Grout - you can choose your preferred color and we recommend you test the grout in a small corner to make sure you like the combination before applying to the entire area.
