Yes, you need to apply grout for any tiles that are not specified as a groutless tile or peel and stick. We recommend a non-sanded grout with this metallic tile. We show it with Laticrete Bright White to make the metallic gold pop!

A customer tagged us in a quick install video that briefly shows the process of laying out the sheets on their mortar - they then did a more complicated pattern but you can see how easy it is to lay out these mosaic sheets for a quick and continuous application. This is a very quick view of the installation process, but you can read our more detailed breakdown of installing mosaic tiles in this blog post and check out a video showing the process of installing paper-face mounted mosaic tiles here. These button tiles have a mesh backing and do not require you to dampen/remove the paper as shown in that video, but the installation process is very similar.
We recommend confirming your ideal thinset with your contractor as it may vary depending on your install location, but Laticrete 254 Platinum mortar is an excellent all-around option that works for nearly any project. We recommend using a non-sanded grout with this metallic tile - we show it with Laticrete Permacolor Bright White, but you can choose any color you prefer. Make sure you follow the instructions for both mortar and grout carefully and wipe down your tiles with a soft. damp cloth after the grout has cured to avoid potential grout haze from dulling the metallic sheen.
