What color and type of grout is used in the sample kitchen photo above?
We don't have the exact grout info used in that install photo. Our in-house team uses Laticrete Non-Sanded Permacolor grout in Bright White for these tiles. The Luna tiles are a creamy off-white so the grout is a little brighter. We highly recommend that type of grout but they have a wide range of colors so you can compare swatches and choose one that you like with the color variation in the tiles.
We recommend testing a small section of the grout in a corner of your tiles to make sure you like the combination in person and in your lighting before you apply to the entire area.
Is there variation in the color of the tiles (as shown in the pictures)? I ordered a sample in Luna White and this tile looks nearly perfect in its color. I ask because I like how the natural variation looks and don’t want it to be too perfect.
Yes! This tile is intended to have a fairly high level of variation between the surface texture and the glaze from piece to piece to give the look of handmade tiles. The sample you received is straight from a box of this tile, so it is a good example of the type of coloration you can expect, just with different glaze depth to give them each a unique look.
