How wide do you recommend the grout be for this tile, and are the sizes uniform while the color varies from tile to tile?
The recommended grout width for this ceramic subway tile is 3/16". There is a slight variation in both size and color to give the tile a more handcrafted look.
How thick is the tile? I am trying to choose schluter strips to go around the edge of shower niche. thank you
The tile thickness is approximately 5/16" (0.313") -however, these ceramic tiles have a handmade look to them so there is some slight surface variation rather than a perfectly straight edge all the way around. We do have matching trim pieces to help finish off your installation as well.
Do the tiles vary in shades of white or are they all pretty uniform?
These zellige-style tiles do have some variation in both color and texture to give them a handcrafted look and a slightly unique appearance from tile to tile. Some of the tiles may have a slightly lighter or darker color due to the application of the glaze. You can order a sample tile to see the overall shade that is present in a whole box, or a box if you want to gauge the level of variation that is present in all 38 pieces / 5.38 sq ft.
We recommend laying out your La Riviera Blanc ceramic subway tiles before you apply adhesive to make sure you like the mix of colors in your layout before you install your tiles.
Which grout color is used in the sample image?
We use Laticrete Permacolor Bright White for our projects, however you could chose any other grout you like
how much color variation is there in the blanc color? I won't be able to tell from a sample.
