La Riviera Blanc Ceramic Tile 5.2" x 5.2"

I have a question that a single tile sample may not answer. I am trying to find a tile like this that does not have any gray undertones. I've seen some similar white tiles in person that have a gray undertone. So if you hold a white piece of paper next to it, I do not want any of the tiles to look more gray in comparison. I would prefer it to be a match to white or even a warm undertone instead. Can anybody speak to this?

Our La Riviera Blanc tiles are designed to have a handcrafted look so there will be an intentional level of variation between the color and glaze of each piece of tile in a single box. For the most part, these tiles have a warmer undertone but we are not able to guarantee that none of them will appear cooler in comparison to each other or other elements in your room. They are more on the cream side than a stark white, but the zellige style is intended to look somewhat unique from piece to piece.

There are a couple of options to help you find the best tiles for your needs - you can certainly order a single box of this tile to gauge the level of variation between all of the pieces (please note our return policy if you choose to order a test box). If you like most of the colors within a box, you can set aside pieces that may have a cooler look (or use them in a corner), but we would recommend adding more than the recommended 15% overage so you make sure you have full coverage for your project.

If you prefer a tile that has less natural variation, glass is much more uniform and does not have the type of variation found in zellige-style tiles. Here is a great option for a bright white tile! There may be a slight difference between lots of glass tile, but a sample piece of glass tile will give you a much more accurate idea of how the color will look in the entire order than in a handmade-style ceramic tile. We recommend using a Bright White Glass adhesive and Bright White grout to avoid any gray undertones, and please note that glass is highly reflective so it will pick up ambient colors in your space.

Should you use spacers when installing this tile?

Yes! We do recommend spacers to keep the grout lines even between each square tile. A 1/8" - 3/16" grout joint is recommend for this size of ceramic wall tile.

Is this tile glazed on the edges? Or are there bullnose pieces available?

This square ceramic tile is not fully glazed on the sides, but there is a matching trim piece.

What color grout?

We show it with Laticrete Bright White Grout to complement the creamy white tones in this ceramic tile
