Hi is this a sheet of tile, such as peel the sheet and apply or is it a one tile at a time application process?
This Mother of Pearl tile is sold by the sheet as a type of mosaic tile (i.e. a section of individual tile chips with a connective backing rather than tiles sold by the box or piece) - each sheet is approximately 11.6" x 11.6" and comes with a flexible mesh backing connecting the Mother of Pearl hexagons. It does not have an adhesive backing. You would spread out thinset and apply each sheet at a time, then apply non-sanded grout to complete the installation.
We do carry peel and stick tiles that are also sold by the sheet, but all of our tiles would be installed with traditional mortar and grout unless specifically designated as Peel and Stick.
Is there matching edging tiles that go with this?
This material is made of shell and they do not make trim in that same material. Our white glass or ceramic trim pieces would be a close match and we do offer them as single pieces so you can see what combination you like in person. Since there is not an exact match in color due to the differences in material and the natural variation in shells, you can also choose a different color trim to complement other tones in your design.
Can the mother of pearl octagon be used on bathroom floor not in shower please? Is it slippery? Thank you
Yes, these shell hexagon tiles can be used for a bathroom floor - the small size and grout lines will provide grip in wet flooring areas, although it is not recommended for shower floors.
Is there a preferred grout color to use with this tile? Thank you!
We show it with Laticrete Bright White unsanded grout, but you can select the color of your choice to complete your preferred look!
