Tile Club’s concrete terrazzo tiles consist of a cementitious base with chips of natural stone. Due to the natural variation found in the stone pieces used to create these tiles, variations in chip size, color, placement, variety, and imperfections will occur from tile to tile. This is intended as part of the organic beauty of these terrazzo tile pieces!
The Tile Council of North America (TCNA) classifies these materials as ‘agglomerate tiles’ - please make sure to install according to their guidelines to this type of tile.

How to Install Tile Club’s Concrete Terrazzo Tiles:
Inspect Tiles upon Delivery
Always inspect your tiles once they are delivered and before they are installed. Tile Club cannot offer any refunds or replacements for tiles that have been installed, as these are considered accepted by the installer and end user. Please contact us with questions about the material as soon as you receive them. Installation and maintenance are the sole responsibility of the ordering party.
Recommended Installation Guidelines
For the best results, we highly recommend contracting a licensed tile installer experienced in working with concrete/stone tiles. They should be familiar with the guidelines and industry standards of the NTCA, ASTM, M.I.A. and ANSI handbook
Pre-seal your stone tiles with a penetrating sealant to protect the surface from staining by setting materials and grout. (Suggested sealer brands include but are not limited to: Dupont™ Stonetech® Professional Sealer and Aqua Mix Sealer’s Choice 15 Gold. Please refer to sealers Manufacturer instructions prior to sealing. Test in a small area before sealing entire surface to ensure suitability. Contact your purchase location for additional information on these types of sealers.)
Lay out your tiles to confirm your preferred placement and arrangement.
Make sure you have a clean, flat concrete or mortar substrate that is free of dust, contaminants, or other debris.
If you need to cut your tiles: We recommend cutting these terrazzo tiles with a wet saw fitted with a diamond blade intended for stone tile cutting. Use a fresh saw blade and cut slowly to avoid chipping.
Apply mortar. Tile Club recommends Laticrete 254 Platinum R Rapid White Mortar. Follow the application and curing settings on your mortar.
Install tiles section by section, allowing for a recommended 4mm grout joint between tiles.
Once the mortar has cured according to the manufacturer’s instructions, apply grout.
Tile Club recommends Laticrete 1600 Unsanded Grout in the color of your choice - tiles are typically pictured with this grout in Bright White. Color choice is at the user’s discretion and preference. Test a small section of the grout to verify the color choice and surface application before grouting the entire area.
Grout should be applied to fill all joints fully, avoiding gaps. Clean excess grout from the tile surface as you proceed, to avoid it hardening and creating a ‘grout haze’ that can cloud the surface of the tile. Allow grout to cure according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
How to Clean and Maintain Tile Club’s Concrete Terrazzo Tiles:
These tiles are made of a cementitious base combined with natural stone. They should be treated with approved stone cleaners to maintain the natural beauty and longevity of the material.
We recommend using a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft, damp sponge or rag to clean your terrazzo tiles.
Do not use acid, alkaline, and solvent-based cleaners to avoid damage or discoloration to the tiles.
Do not allow soap, bleach or other cleaning solutions set on the surface.
Do not wax any part of your tiles.
Do not let stains sit on your tile surface for extended periods. Please wipe up stains promptly and clean your tiles accordingly.
Always test cleaner in a small inconspicuous area prior to use throughout the installation to determine suitability and use of care and maintenance products.
