This natural shell tile can be used as a backsplash behind any gas/electric stove installed according to fire codes.
What type of mastic/grout it used with this tile?
We always recommend using a non-sanded grout with Mother of Pearl shell tiles. Ours are shown with Laticrete Permacolor Select in Bright White, but you can choose the color depending on your preferences.
For the adhesive, our recommendation is Laticrete Glass adhesive.
